Forget brand names for a moment. These are the coffees — specific origins and processing styles — that show what Indian coffee can do.

Freshly roasted by Gray Cup, our roasting partner — ships across India.

How Indian coffee varies

  • Odisha (Koraput) — Eastern Ghats, smallholder Arabica, 900–1,200 m. Clean and cocoa-ish washed, dark-fruited natural.
  • Karnataka — Western Ghats estates, Arabica and Robusta, full-bodied, low-acid, chocolate and spice.
  • Northeast (Assam, Arunachal) — low-grown, mellow, nutty, soft.
  • Kerala / Tamil Nadu — mostly Robusta and traditional filter blends.

10 to try

  1. Koraput washed Arabica (Odisha)
  2. Koraput natural Arabica (Odisha)
  3. A honey-processed Koraput lot (Dream Hill / Brown Valley)
  4. An HSD micro-lot (Odisha)
  5. A Chikmagalur estate washed (Karnataka)
  6. A Coorg Robusta for filter (Karnataka)
  7. Monsooned Malabar (Karnataka) — for the novelty
  8. A Halflong Assam lot (Northeast)
  9. An Araku Valley Arabica (Andhra, next door to Koraput)
  10. A traditional 70/30 Arabica/Robusta filter blend
