About the Farm

Laxmi Plantation is a well-respected Robusta estate in the Kotpad region, producing rich, full-bodied coffees that are well suited to espresso blends and commercial roasting. The estate has built a loyal customer base among domestic roasters who value the consistency and character of Koraput Robusta.

The Story Behind the Farm

Named after the goddess of prosperity, Laxmi Plantation has been a steady contributor to the Gray Cup sourcing network. The family has been instrumental in organising group processing sessions among smaller neighbouring farms, helping raise quality standards across their valley.

Robusta

Processing Methods

Natural

Whole cherries are dried on raised beds for 25–35 days with regular turning to ensure even drying. The fruit remains in contact with the bean throughout, imparting rich fruit sweetness and body.

Washed

Cherry pulp is mechanically removed before fermentation in water tanks (18–36 hours). The parchment is then thoroughly washed and dried on raised beds for 12–18 days. Produces clean, bright, terroir-transparent cups.
