About the Farm

Madhu Agro Plantation is a mid-size estate known for well-balanced, consistent coffees. The farm operates a dual processing setup, producing both fully washed and natural lots from the same season's harvest, enabling comparison and buyer choice across the same terroir.

The Story Behind the Farm

Madhu Panda established this farm after two decades working in agricultural extension services in Odisha. His technical background is reflected in the estate's meticulous record-keeping — each lot is documented from cherry to bag, with moisture, defect, and cupping data retained for traceability.

Coffee Varieties

Robusta
Arabica S795

Processing Methods

Washed

Cherry pulp is mechanically removed before fermentation in water tanks (18–36 hours). The parchment is then thoroughly washed and dried on raised beds for 12–18 days. Produces clean, bright, terroir-transparent cups.

Natural

Whole cherries are dried on raised beds for 25–35 days with regular turning to ensure even drying. The fruit remains in contact with the bean throughout, imparting rich fruit sweetness and body.
